sigh
I do think we have potential to be finished by this weekend though. Here's to hopin'
Meanwhile...
Keturah is busy being cute.
We started school in May. Yup, some schools haven't even finished this school year yet and we already started our new year. So far it is going really well. I have high hopes for this year. I feel more organized than ever before coming into a school year. We quickly found a groove and it's going really well with 4 in school.
Most years we start school with cake. This year I decided to go with pancakes instead. No complaints from the kids. Yay!
This little one was VERY excited to start Kindergarten. She is eager to learn and is doing amazingly well with her lessons. Hannah was also very excited to move into 3rd grade. She is the youngest in her Sunday School class so moving up into the 3rd grade while they are still in 2nd eased that sting just a little bit for her. :) (She didn't actually move up in Sunday School, her class is the same. She's just now a 3rd grader in a 2nd grade class. I'm sure I could have written that be more clear from the get go, but the words are escaping me right now.)
Joseph is in 6th grade now! I would probably be geeking out a bit if he were in public school and I had to send him to middle school. Since we are at home, I'll save the geeking out for his 13th birthday. (Thankfully thats another year and a half away) *edited to add: His cheesy smile is because of my "just one more!" picture requests. Through gritted teeth he was like "Can I just eat my pancake now please?!"
Nehemiah is happy to be in 4th grade, but for him school is school. He's just wants to sit down, get it done, and then go play. *edited to add:Bless him, he just has a cheesy smile! :) I TRY to make him laugh and grab that as a picture... but sometimes you need a pancake BEFORE laughter... and so you get the "say cheese" smile as seen here.
All of us on the first day.
An anticlimactic before and after. The "before" was actually taken after I started painting. We put new flooring down and painted the walls. (It's done now, no more line of old vs new. And yes, the old paint color was also yellow. The new yellow is a prettier shade and freshened up the room.)
I can't wait to pull together some more exciting before and afters! The living room and hallway are like night and day. :) Soon. soon.
