Keeping Busy

It's been hot here. Insanely ridiculously hot. We don't go outside much these days. Occasionally the kids and I will venture out after 7pm, but then I tend to get eaten alive by mosquito's. So we are keeping busy in the house.

Hannah enjoys helping in the kitchen. She will fight Joseph for the job of unloading the silverware from the dishwasher.

Nehemiah has started making smiley faces.

Uh, thats not a smiley face. I don't know what he wound up doing here, but he's happy. :)

When Daddy is home the boys beg for him to play video games. Here they are checking out some online game that Roger was playing.

Hannah in the kitchen again. She was helping to shred lettuce for taco salad. She took her job very seriously. And now whenever she sees lettuce in the fridge she wants to get out the big bowl and get to shreddin'. :)
So... that is how we've been keeping busy this summer. It's only the beginning of July. I have no idea what to expect heat wise this month. I have a feeling there will be some more indoor activities planned. Perhaps a little more exciting than shredding lettuce. No promises though.

Hopefully I'll have some after pictures of the house up here soon. We have still been busy working on this, that, and the other. We have enough work to do on this house to last us a few years. We are hoping that just a few more weeks will get us to the point of being able to call it quits for awhile though. Our current project is turning our old entertainment center into a night stand, end table, and some shelving. And by "our" I mean Roger. I told him my idea, he smiled, nodded, and started writing down dimensions. My work is done. It's all him now. :)

Good job, Roger! So you just tell him what you want and he gets right to it? Awesome. (:

We're finally getting some warm days here. It's been such bizarre weather on the east coast.
