ahem
So... Adaiah got in on the egg dyeing action this year. Surprisingly we were mess free. It was an Easter egg miracle.

Easter morning we had a special breakfast and had an Easter egg hunt. I realized that having an Easter egg hunt on Easter was easier when I was a kid because I didn't grow up going to church. Having an egg hunt, a special b'fast, and getting 4 kids ready for church is a bit much for one morning. :)
The kids were all assigned a certain color (or colors) of egg to find.
This worked out wonderfully. I was able to hide Joseph's in sneaky places, while placing Adaiah's out in the open.
And she was happy to find her eggs out in the open. :)
After church we headed to a friend's house for lunch. (It was yummy!) Adaiah made herself at home in their little pink car. She's such a girl. :)
Hannah went fishing. She loves to go fishing. (as long as she doesn't have to touch the bait or the fish) :)
and our friends little guy had fun fishing too. :) (ok, he wasn't really fishing. One of the other kids abandoned their rod and he was checking it out. Isn't he cute though?!) :)
We had a wonderful Easter Sunday. And of course we celebrated that fact the Jesus is risen! That certainly wasn't forgotten in the business of the day.

Cute pictures!
Love the idea of hiding certain colors for certain kids. I hope I remember that next year because that would definitely work well for us too.
Guess what? We don't go to church on Christmas or Easter. We stay home and have home church either in our living room (Christmas) or outside under the tress (Easter). This way we really do focus on what the holiday is about rather than having me stress about having to get myself and five girls looking beautiful like everyone else at church. It's a very real challenge for me to have dresses and matching shoes for 6 females! Also, church is typically a lot more packed on those days.
Okay, now that I told you all that I guess I don't have to blog about Easter. :)
