We've accomplished a crazy amount of projects lately. Some thanks need to go out to Roger's Dad for that. :)
While they were visiting, Grandpa worked on replacing our dry erase board with a chalkboard. (The paint it on kind) He even suffered through my indecisiveness about what shape I wanted it to be. I mean, it's paint, there could be some fun in the school board! Ultimately though I decided on just a simple board with rounded edges. We'll save the fun shape for a time that our school board isn't also our dining room wall.
Roger and his dad also worked on replacing some rotted out posts on the front porch. I can't wait to get em painted. We started painting the outside of the house like a year ago and it is still not finished. (In case you are wondering, the greenish color is the new color. The tan/beige is what is being replaced. The brown post (which was replaced) will be white.)
Also not pictured (how could I forget to take a picture?!) is Grandpa painting our hallway. I had primed it and even got a 1st coat on, but it wasn't done. It was taking me for.ever. (5 kids, homeschool, laundry, dishes, husband who can't be home when I paint because the fumes make him sick) So Luke spent awhile in the hall with some Pandora playing while Grandma and I played outside with the kids. We were painting paneling, so it was just taking a lot of coats, plus a lot of patience. We have 7 doors in the hallway, and the trim and doors were all being painted too. Ugh, it's a pain just thinking about it... I still have the OTHER side of each door to paint. yay. I have a few spots to touch up and then I can show you a before and after of that. It is AMAZING. Seriously. I love paint.
Non paint related projects are also going on around here.
Ugh, ipiccy isn't saving my pictures properly. Roger is not hanging upside down while tearing out carpet! He is tearing out carpet though. :) An after of that beauty will be coming soon too.
Up next... the kids shower. There wasn't one... but there will be.
