Hannah and Adaiah celebrated their birthday last Friday. I have another year to be thankful that they still think sharing a birthday is the coolest thing ever.
God, may they always be giddy about sharing their special day with each other. amen.
Because we had planned on being in Indiana by the time their birthday rolled around, we hadn't planned anything to do here. My kitchen was 99% packed (which means I wasn't able to bake them a special cake). The house was/is one large storage unit of Lowe's boxes. So... we went to Dallas for the day.
We hit up our favorite thrift shop out there, went to the mall, checked out a playground, opened some presents, and went out to eat. It was a fun-filled day. We all wish we could have been celebrating in Indiana instead, but a day in Dallas was nice too.
The girls had some of the best reactions to their gifts this year. It was pure joy to watch them.

| This was a barbie set with a little purse, sunglasses, and "smartphone". |
| She had been wanting this since she first saw it when we were on vacation in Indiana - 5 months ago. |
| Grandma Debbie bought each of them a special doll. |
| We have entered the world of American Girl. |
| Hannah got the doll she really wanted... that I told her was out of our birthday budget. Grandma to the rescue. :) |
| ...and it got better! |
| No, she did not get dryer sheets. The note (that was inside the bounce box) says that she gets to go shopping at Target - for the Our Generation horse that she wanted (to go with the new doll) |
| She was pretty happy about that. :) |
| A new outfit for her new doll. |
| Noticing some of the sparkle her AG doll was wearing. :) |
The girls were all smiles after opening presents. Well, they were pretty happy before that too, but the smiles after presents were notably different. :)
We had cake in the parking lot of Gander Mtn. It was too windy to light the candles so we just pretended.
The cake was purchased at a Super Target earlier in the day. The girls originally wanted cupcakes like the ones they had when we celebrated their birthday in a hotel 3 years ago, but when they saw this cake they changed their mind.
Happy Birthday to my beautiful girls!
