What's your dream car?

Back before Roger and I had kids, when we were young and dating, we took a drive.  We were bored and decided it would be fun to just dream about our future... and what car we would drive.  We each chose our "dream car" from a fancy car lot.  Asking Roger just now, neither of us remembers what we chose. 


Fast forward 11 1/2 years.


With 5 kids in the back we took a drive... to the local library.   Without even looking, there it was.  Our dream car - right in the parking lot! 

Our dream...

15 passenger van. 

You know you have reached large family status when your dream vehicle seats 15.  Although, to be fair, we would TOTALLY be happy with a 12 passenger.

We sat there and watched with envy as a family with 6 kids poured into the van.  We were full of ooh's and ahh's as they hopped in, buckled up and were on their way.  Man!  We have to file into our van, waiting for the backseat to get buckled up before the middle row can sit down. 

"Large family" status never really hit me before like it did at that moment.
