We started our morning off by singing Happy Birthday to Jesus.
We had blocked off the door to the living room so the kids couldn't see in there before we wanted them to. I loved their reaction to what they saw.
The first presents that they opened were the ones they bought for each other. Hannah bought something for Nehemiah.
Joseph bought something for Hannah.
Adaiah bought something for Joseph.
And Nehemiah bought something for Adaiah. He was really cute when we were shopping. He was so into it and wanted to get Adaiah some really neat things. Unfortunately for his budget he had to settle on sippy cups. Adaiah has a thing for sippy cups though. When we took her shopping for her birthday we let her have free reign over Toys R Us. The ONE thing we left with was sippy cups. Thats all she wanted. :)
After opening some presents we enjoyed some homemade cinnamon rolls. (Thats becoming a tradition. yum. I like tradition) :)
We had three rounds of Christmas at our house. After our cinnamon roll breakfast we called Grandma and skyped our Christmas morning with her. Then we played with some toys. Then we skyped again with the other set of Grandparents. Then we played with more toys. :) It was a busy morning opening gifts! We didn't do all of the special things we wanted to do because we weren't all over the flu. But we had a wonderful day despite the things that were left out... and the fact that some of us still had fevers.
Christmas day ended with a nice early bedtime. That was my Christmas present. :)
